Book an eye exam in Amman at Eye 2 Eye Optical in Sweifieh. Your examination includes an assessment of your vision, prescription needs and eye health. We take time to understand your concerns, explain our findings and recommend appropriate next steps.

What to Expect During Your Eye Examination

Understanding Your Visual Needs

We begin by discussing any visual difficulties or symptoms, your eye health history and your current glasses or contact lenses. We also consider your daily activities, including reading, computer work and driving.

Vision & Prescription Assessment

We assess your distance and near vision and perform a refraction to determine the appropriate prescription. If you already wear glasses or contact lenses, we review your current prescription and assess whether an adjustment is needed.

Additional assessments of focusing, eye coordination, colour vision or visual fields may be performed when clinically indicated.

Eye Health Assessment & Referral

Your examination goes beyond measuring vision and determining a prescription. It also includes an assessment of eye health, including examination of the back of the eye using an ophthalmoscope, to help identify signs of eye disease or other abnormal changes.

When further medical assessment or treatment is needed, we recommend seeing an ophthalmologist with the appropriate expertise for your condition.

Clear Results & Recommendations

We explain your examination findings and whether you would benefit from glasses or contact lenses, an updated prescription or further assessment. We discuss suitable options for your visual needs and advise when to return for your next examination.

Appointments typically take 10–30 minutes, depending on your individual needs.

Walk-in visits are also welcome, subject to availability. Need help booking? Open the booking calendar in a new tab or contact us on WhatsApp.

Before Your Appointment

  • Bring your current glasses and any previous prescription, if available.
  • For a vision and prescription assessment, remove your contact lenses at least three hours before your appointment unless you have been advised otherwise. Some lens types may require a longer period. If your appointment is for a contact lens fitting or follow-up, contact us beforehand for instructions on when to wear or remove your lenses.
  • Tell us about any previous eye conditions, eye surgery and medications you use.
  • Let us know about tasks you find difficult, such as reading or computer work. Your usual working distance can help guide our assessment.

Children under 12: We recommend an examination with a paediatric ophthalmologist.

People with diabetes: Your examination with us does not replace regular comprehensive eye examinations with an ophthalmologist to monitor eye and retinal health.
